Baptism

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

Eucharist

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

Confirmation

Confirmation is a Catholic Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Catéchèse d’initiation à la vie chrétienne (1re à 8e année)

 

Le but définitif de la catéchèse est de mettre quelqu’un non seulement en contact mais en communion, en intimité, avec Jésus-Christ.

Selon la politique catéchétique diocésaine, un enfant d’âge scolaire doit être catéchisé pour recevoir les sacrements de l’initiation chrétienne (Réconciliation, Eucharistie et Confirmation).

 

Puisque les écoles francophones du quartier de Saint-Boniface n’assument plus la responsabilité de la catéchèse, la paroisse du Précieux-Sang, collectivement avec Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens et la Cathédrale, offrent un parcours de catéchèse continu et la préparation aux sacrements, à la paroisse Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, chaque année, de la fin septembre à la fin mars. L’inscription se fait au mois de mai. Cependant, les inscriptions seront toujours acceptées jusqu’à l’automne.

 

Les nouveaux paroissiens (ou ceux qui ne sont pas inscrits) qui souhaitent inscrire leur(s) enfant(s) au parcours sont priés de contacter l’aide administrative au bureau de la paroisse pour obtenir une trousse d’inscription. Les personnes inscrites auparavant recevront automatiquement le formulaire de réinscription par courriel. Le tout doit être retourné avec paiement avant la date limite, sinon des frais supplémentaires de 25 $ seront ajoutés.
